The Department of Public Works Traffic Division is responsible for maintaining the traffic signal equipment at 68 intersections within the City of Jamestown, NY. Among these, 27 intersections are managed by the New York State Department of Transportation, with the City maintaining them through a contract with the State. However, our maintenance of these State signals does not encompass major repairs and operational changes.
Additionally, the City has a Shared Services Agreement with Chautauqua County, allowing us to assist with maintenance for various towns and villages within the county.
