The Jamestown Police Department is a municipal law enforcement agency comprised of 62 Full-Time sworn Officers and 8 Full-Time Civilians dedicated to serving the community of Jamestown.
We operate under two divisions:
Operations Division: Provides direct police services to the public, including the Patrol Section, Special Operations Section, and Operational Administration Section.
Administrative & Support Services Division: Oversees investigative and administrative functions, including the Investigative Section and civilian administrative personnel.

The mission of the Jamestown Police Department is to ensure peace, safety, and a sense of security for all residents of Jamestown. Our goals include maintaining a high quality of life, preventing crime, and fostering a safe environment.
We accomplish this through the preservation of peace, building strong community partnerships, protecting individual rights, and preventing and resolving crime.
