Property Owner FAQ’s
The City of Jamestown is offering funding to eligible property owners for the repair and rehabilitation of vacant, uninhabitable rental units, with the goal of increasing safe and affordable housing. Property owners may qualify for up to $75,000 under the advanced option or $55,000 under the standard option, each with specific tenant income requirements.
To be eligible, property owners must reside locally. Priority will be given to applicants whose full-time residence is in Jamestown, followed by those residing in Chautauqua County. Property owners who reside in Erie County, NY; Cattaraugus County, NY; or Warren County, PA, may also apply. Applicants outside these specified areas are not eligible. Additionally, property owners who own, have a vested interest in, or are affiliated with an LLC that owns more than 20 units are ineligible.
Applications will be accepted from February 28 through March 30 and must be received no later than 4:30 PM. Emailed applications will not be accepted. All applications must be submitted in person or via USPS. If accommodations are required, please contact the Department of Development to request assistance.
