CDBG Funded Programs:
Handicapped Accessibility Improvement Program Grant:
As a logical outgrowth of the Americans with Disabilities Act (A.D.A.), the City of Jamestown’s Department of Development (DOD) is offering the Handicapped Accessibility Improvement Program Grant to assist and encourage owners of commercial properties to undertake handicapped accessibility improvements to their downtown Jamestown buildings. The primary purpose of this rebate program is to help remove architectural barriers from commercial buildings that limit access to physically challenged members of the community. At the same time, the program strives to improve occupancy and market value of underutilized commercial space. This program grant provides a fifty-percent (50%) rebate up to $30,000 per address.
Restore Adapt Develop (RAD) Jamestown Program Grant:
The Restore Adapt Develop Jamestown Program Grant provides a fifty-percent (50%) rebate up to $50,000 per address to assist commercial property owners in making improvements to their facilities and operations. The goal of the program is to facilitate revitalization of Jamestown’s commercial buildings and businesses to encourage economic growth, secure private investment, and to promote small businesses and entrepreneurship, all of which contribute to the ultimate goal of sustaining and creating jobs.
