Annual Action Plan

Overview:

Notice is hereby given that the City of Jamestown’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and Home FY 2024 Annual Action Plan has been prepared and will be submitted to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). This submission is pending a mandatory 30-day public review period beginning May 24th. The purpose of this public input period is to gather feedback and insights to better understand the housing, neighborhood, and economic development needs within the community, which will inform the allocation of funds for the City’s CDBG and HOME Programs for the year 2024.

April 9th: Washington Middle School – 6 p.m.
April 20th: Jackson Taylor Park – 10 a.m.
April 23rd: Lincoln Elementary School – 6 p.m.
April 27th: Fletcher Elementary School – 6 p.m.
May 2nd: Bush Elementary School – 6 p.m.

Additional Forums:

May 6th: City Hall, 4th Floor, Housing Committee – 6 p.m.

Public Hearing:

May 20th: City Council – 7:pm

Availability of Final Draft Plan:

The final draft plan will be available beginning Friday, May 24, 2024, in the Department of Development and the Office of the Mayor, located on the fourth floor of the Municipal building at 200 East Third Street, Jamestown, NY 14701. Additionally, it will be accessible at Prendergast Library and online at www.jamestownny.gov. All comments regarding the Annual Action Plan will be accepted until June 24, 2024, by 4:00 pm. Comments should be submitted in writing to the Department of Development, Municipal Building, Fourth Floor, Jamestown, NY 14701. The Jamestown City Council and the subsequent submission of the City’s FY 2024 CDBG and HOME Annual Action Plan application to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development will consider all comments received prior to the formal authorization of the application.
