The Corporation Counsel, serving as the Chief Legal Officer of the City of Jamestown, acts as the attorney and legal advisor to the Mayor and is accountable to the City Council. Responsibilities include representing and safeguarding the city’s rights in all legal actions, suits, and proceedings. The office also facilitates the negotiation and approval of all city contracts and oversees human resources activities.
