JAMESTOWN – The City Parks, Recreation and Conservation Department would like to announce sign-ups for the City Recreation Youth Baseball League will take place Monday, April 19th from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. in the lobby of City Hall. Masks are required & social distance guidelines will be followed.
The program is open to youth ages 7 to 12 years old. Children of 7 years of age will only be allowed to play in the outfield.
City residents must pay a $5.00 registration fee per child. Non-city residents must pay a $15.00 registration fee per child. All children registering must supply proof of age. Children who played in the program in previous years must still sign up on April 19th and pay the registration fee.
The application for financial assistance is available on the city’s website at www.jamestownny.net or at the Jamestown Parks & Rec Office, located at 145 Steele Street during regular business hours.
The scholarship form is due back to the Parks & Rec Office by Monday, April 26th.
The age determination date is APRIL 30, 2021. Whatever a player’s age is on or before April 30, 2021 is the player’s LEAGUE age for the 2021 season. This playing age rule corresponds with that adopted by Babe Ruth Baseball.
